James D’Arcy and Enver Gjokaj have both signed on as regulars for Agent Carter‘s second season, currently scheduled for Agents of SHIELD’s mid-season break. Jarvis’s uptight straight-man has been an excellent foil for our Peggy Carter and I am thrilled to see him return. The role Gjokaj’s Agent Daniel Sousa will play on the West Coast is less clear, particularly as Carter’s status with the SSR is unknown after the events of the Season 1 finale.
We all know the news we’re really waiting for is whether Angie (Lyndsy Fonseca) will be making the trip west with her bestie Pegs, but my friends, we’ll have to continue waiting and hoping and scrolling though tumblr. Until then, we can take solace in the fact that she will have her trusty sidekick and fellow-Brit by her side in D’Arcy’s Jarvis. Word on the street (a.k.a. EW) is that deals for Fonseca, as well as Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood) and Chad Michael Murray (Agent Jack Thompson) are forthcoming.
Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
